Lucid

Lucid is a visual collaboration suite that includes Lucidchart (diagramming) and Lucidspark (collaborative whiteboarding). When accessed through Canvas, these tools allow instructors and students to create and embed diagrams, flowcharts, mind maps, and collaborative boards directly within course content.

The Lucid integration supports use within the Canvas Rich Content Editor, assignments, and course navigation, enabling real-time collaboration and visual learning activities.

Access to Lucid through Canvas provides users with a free education-tier account. However, accounts are created at the individual level and are not part of a centrally managed Baylor environment. As a result, Lucid operates outside of Baylor’s support structure.

Availability

Lucid (Lucidchart & Lucidspark) is available for use by faculty and students through Canvas.

While it is available for use within Canvas, Baylor does not provide support, administration, or account management for this tool. Users are responsible for managing their own accounts and content within Lucid.
