AirBear Wireless Network
The AirBear wireless network (AIRBEAR WPA2) connects and empowers the Baylor University community. BaylorITS is committed to providing AirBear coverage in classrooms, on-campus residence hall rooms, and multi-use rooms (i.e., conference rooms, labs), as well as many common areas like lounges and foyers (i.e., the BSB Atrium) on the Waco and Dallas Nursing campus locations. AirBear extends to some outdoor locations, and it is expected that expansion will continue.
Moody and Jones Libraries Upgrades
During Summer 2025, AirBear access points in the Starbucks/Allbritton Foyer area of Moody Memorial Library were upgraded to enhance AirBear performance. Starting February 3, 2026, additional AirBear updates will begin in Moody and Jones Libraries. On Tuesday, February 3, AirBear service will be interrupted for 20-30 minutes between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in Moody and Jones Libraries. Through the rest of the week, technicians will replace AirBear access points throughout the facilities, and brief AirBear outages will occur in the immediate area while the access point is being replaced. These upgrades should enhance connectivity, continuity, and network speed on AirBear in Moody and Jones Libraries.
AirBear Basic Setup
To connect to the AirBear wireless network on your device, select the AIRBEAR WPA2 network from among the available wireless options and log in using your Bear ID and password. If this is your first time connecting your device to AirBear, you must accept the certificate for the server that manages authentication to the AirBear network.
