Erupt3

Erupt3 is a user-interactive graphical program that simulates various types of volcanic eruptions, emplacement of their products (lava, ash, and cinders), and development of various volcanic landforms . The graphical portrayal is in 2D as a cross-section view. Geological maps of the erupted products can be created and viewed in plan view. 3D topographic views can also be created.

Availability

Erupt3 is available to download for free on Windows platforms. It has been installed in a GIS lab in classroom BSB D408 only.
