OpenStax & OpenStax Assignable

Openstax was created by Rice University and improves educational access and learning for everyone by publishing openly licensed books, developing and improving research-based courseware, establishing partnerships with educational resource companies, and more. The beta OpenStax extension Assignable enables faculty to create assessments and assignments in Canvas using OpenStax resources.

Availability

Openstax textbooks are available directly through their website and through Canvas. The Assignable tool is also available within Canvas.

HelpDesk+ does not provide support for Openstax or Assignable; however, the initiative provides its own Help platform.
