Hypothesis

Hypothesis is an online, social annotation tool created by hypothes.is that allows users to mark notes on any webpage or PDF on Google Chrome. Other features include sharing your annotations publicly or privately, allowing others to comment on your observations or share their own takes. Watch this video to learn more about hypothesis.

Availability

Hypothesis can be used either as a free stand-alone tool or via a paid subscription which allows Canvas integration. The free version of Hypothesis is available to use for all students, faculty and staff for personal use. To get started, visit the hypothes.is sign up page to create a free account, then download the free Google Chrome web browser extension to get started. For other browsers such as Firefox or Safari, follow the instructions here. 

To enable the Canvas subscription, users can purchase licenses from the Baylor University Bookstore.
