Crystal Reports

Crystal Reports is used in conjunction with the remaining elements of our Banner system to generate reports.

Availability

Only a few people at Baylor interface with Crystal Reports. Effective use of Crystal requires training and knowledge of both Crystal Reports itself and the database structure of the information system being accessed. Because most of Baylor's information systems have very complex relational database structures, anything more than very basic usage requires some level of technical expertise or literacy. Also, only those employees with approved access to university systems (e.g. Banner) and with an established "need to know" additional data, can be granted access to those systems through Crystal Reports.
